Overview:

Akiba Bank seeks 85 dynamic and motivated individuals to join them as Direct Sales Executives across multiple regions in Tanzania. This is a fantastic chance for fresh graduates to kick-start their careers in a reputable financial institution.

Job Purpose:

The primary objective of the Direct Sales Executive is to drive Akiba Bank’s retail sales by engaging directly with customers. This role involves day-to-day customer visits, selling bank products and services, deepening existing customer relationships, and ensuring operational excellence within the bank’s service standards.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Acquire new bank customers through appointments, referrals, and door-to-door canvassing in your assigned area.
  • Open bank accounts for new customers and collect account opening fees.
  • Register customers for Akiba Mobile services and educate them on using our self-service channels.
  • Ensure all accounts opened meet the required KYC standards as per the bank’s processes and procedures.
  • Achieve and exceed weekly, monthly, or yearly sales targets.
  • Generate leads and actively upsell and cross-sell bank products and services to customers.
  • Participate in campaigns, special projects, and events to promote and sell bank products and services.
  • Identify and cultivate repeat business opportunities by building strong customer relationships.
  • Assist management in developing effective marketing and pricing strategies.
  • Safeguard and manage working tools and marketing materials.
  • Continuously improve sales presentations, avoiding miss-selling, and enhancing knowledge of products, services, and bank tariffs.
  • Perform any other relevant duties as assigned.

Required Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of direct sales and bank products/services.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain customer relationships.
  • Ability to work effectively outside traditional banking environments, with exposure to outdoor settings.
  • Flexibility to work beyond standard business hours.
  • Excellent attention to detail and follow-through skills.
  • Sound consultative selling skills.
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in standard computer applications (Word and Excel).

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree, Diploma, or equivalent in business-related fields such as Marketing, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or related areas.
  • Open to fresh graduates of 2024.
