1. Marketing Specialist Brand, Events & Sponsorship (1 Position)

Job Purpose:
  • To manage, execute and maintain, brand strategies and initiatives to ensure brand consistency and awareness across all touchpoints.
  • Coordinate and manage internal and external events including sponsorships for NMB.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate brand objectives/deliverables with creative, and media advertising units.
  • Ensure brand consistency and adherence to branding guideline standards in terms of layout and quality of materials and execution including the branch look and feel.
  • Create, maintain, and enhance good relationships with all brand-related suppliers.
  • Ensure brand communication for areas of responsibility are consistent with the bank and brand positioning; this includes keeping up to date on all communications in the branches to ensure alignment to planned/approved communications.
  • Take a lead in supporting and coordinating branch-branding projects with liaison to PMO and Procurement.
  • Work with procurement to source branding and advertising materials that are of NMB’s standards.
  • Ensure end-to-end timely delivery and proper execution of all brand/product campaigns and below the line materials in the branches and the market.
  • Follow up with Procurement and Finance to ensure all brand vendor LPO’s are released on time and payments effected on time.
  • Assist to plan and schedule NMB’s events and sponsorships for the year
  • Ensure branding at NMB’s sponsored promotions and events is executed to the highest possible standards to achieve maximum exposure.
  • Recommend to supervisor’s approval or denial for specific events and sponsorships
  • Provide assistance to support internal events.
  • Attend events to facilitate operations and ensure all aspects of events are implemented and managed in accordance with the banks standards.
  • Compile materials required for event program; maintain mailing lists for distribution of updated monthly event calendar or other pertinent information.
  • Consolidate and track all brand, events, sponsorship and promotional budget, alert Brand, events and sponsorship manager when budget is depleted.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Brand knowledge and a good overall understanding of basic Marketing principles.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in Marketing, Public Relations, Business Administration or any other related field
  • 3 years’ experience in marketing, Brand and events management or any similar role.

2.  Senior Manager Special Schemes (1 Position)

Job Purpose:
Responsible for formulation and implementation of special schemes strategy, annual business plans, policies, and procedure for the segment while ensuring the Bank is well positioned and perceived the most preferred in the Market.
Lead sales taskforce and embed sales culture across the Bank’s network with the aim of bringing awareness to the Bank’s products to the public while maintaining the quality of loan book portfolio and subsequently acquire, grow and deepening portfolio through effective relationship management.
Main Responsibilities:
  • Drive new sales revenues through acquiring new customers across the segment and be responsible for delivering the budgeted business volumes within the agreed timelines.
  • Design the annual sales plan for the special schemes portfolio and ensure it is executed by the Relationship Managers and the branches
  • Support Head of department to forecast future market trends and translate them into segment level strategy to create and sustain competitive advantage.
  • Proactively nurture and leverage sustainable, robust stakeholder relationships, coalitions, and network with special schemes.
  • Ensure high customer satisfaction among special schemes employees for the purpose of building customer loyalty.
  • Review and advise on all the credit Appraisals and defend them to the relevant approval committees
  • Build and develop high performing team
  • Accountable for effective resource planning, management, reporting and coordination of projects/initiatives to deliver change in line with business requirements and effective cost management.
  • Ensure branch staff understand the context of their role in relation to the special scheme segment and strategy.
  • Monitor and review branch performance on loan Portfolio to ensure quality of the portfolio is maintained.

  • At least 5 years’ experience in banking credit, managing relations with key business stakeholders of which 3 years must be in a team leadership role

3. Senior Software Developer – Fixed Term (3 months) – (3 Positions)

Job Purpose:
To develop, customize and deploy critical software for our clients, to support Bank business and products
Main Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop end-to-end cross-platform software applications
  • Write code and scripts for applications, and take part in the installation, documentation, maintenance, testing, and deployment
  • Ensure optimization of applications by integrating new technologies and upgrading existing features
  • Conduct software diagnostic tests and debugging to improve code and re-design processes
  • Communicate with business units to define and incorporate user-defined features into application designs
  • Ideate and generate new ideas for software development based on requirements
  • Maintain documentation of complete application development processes
  • Apply programming languages and frameworks as defined by the bank’s development governance
  • Deliver great quality development features
Knowledge and Skills:
  • Knowledge of tracking systems, inventory management, ERP systems, and payment systems will be an added advantage.
  • Skills in developing with two of the following languages Java (Spring); C#/.Net; and PHP
  • Skills with front end and backend web application technologies including CSS3; HTML 5; and JQuery/JavaScript
Qualifications and Experience:
  • BSc. in Computer Science, Engineering or related field
  • At least 5 years of software development experience
  • Experience with the following tools; GIT; NetBeans IDE/Eclipse; Visual Studio; Android Studio; Jet brains; Jira
  • Experience in banking environment is an added advantage
