ABOUT UONGOZI INSTITUTE

UONGOZI Institute, officially known as the Institute of African Leadership for Sustainable Development, is a regional leadership development hub operating under the Office of the President of the United Republic of Tanzania. Established in 2010 by the Governments of Tanzania and Finland, the Institute focuses on inspiring and equipping African leaders to deliver inclusive and sustainable solutions across the continent.

The Institute works through four key areas:

•Executive education

•Policy dialogues

•Action-oriented research

•Technical support

AVAILABLE INTERNSHIP POSITIONS

1. Training Intern (2 Positions)

Key Responsibilities

•Support coordination, development, and delivery of executive education programs

•Assist program teams working with leaders across Tanzania and Africa

•Support administrative and program delivery activities

•Perform other duties assigned by the Head of Programme Delivery

Reporting Line

Reports directly to the Head of Programme Delivery

2. Communications Intern (1 Position)

Key Responsibilities

•Support communication campaigns and visibility activities

•Assist in maintaining and enhancing the Institute’s public image

•Contribute to content development and public relations activities

•Perform other duties assigned by the Head of Public Relations and Communications

Reporting Line

Reports directly to the Head of Public Relations and Communications

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

•Bachelor’s degree in a relevant or related field

•Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and internet research

•Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

•Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Swahili

•Volunteering experience is an added advantage (not mandatory)
