Job Overview

The Accounts Manager will oversee financial operations including general ledger management, monthly and year‑end closing, financial reporting, and statutory compliance. The role involves ensuring accurate accounting records, improving internal controls, and advising senior management on financial strategy and performance.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

• Financial Reporting & Analysis

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements.
  • Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial reports.

• General Ledger & Reconciliation

  • Manage general ledger entries and sub‑ledgers.
  • Perform bank and account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.

• Compliance & Audit

  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and tax laws.
  • Coordinate and support internal and external audits, including TRA engagements.

• Operational Efficiency & Controls

  • Improve accounting processes and strengthen internal controls.
  • Enhance accuracy and reliability of financial reporting.

• Year‑End & Transaction Management

  • Perform fiscal year‑end close activities.
  • Ensure day‑to‑day transactions (accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash receipts, credit cards, and payroll) are properly recorded.
  • Support effective cash flow management.

Qualifications and Experience

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional Certification: CPA, ACCA, or equivalent.
• Experience:
  • Minimum of 6–8 years accounting experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Experience in steel manufacturing or lubricants industry is an added advantage.
• Technical Skills:
  • Strong experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.
