Mission
As our IT Manager you will ensure technological excellence and operational continuity across hotel complexes by leading critical infrastructure deployment and serving as the strategic partner bridging IT innovation with regional business needs.
✔️ What will your day-to-day work be like?
- Regional Implementation & Operations: Lead the deployment and operation of regional IT solutions and infrastructure across the Company’s hotel/resort complexes.
- Business Unit Openings: Provide technical leadership and IT service delivery for new business unit openings (Pre-opening phase).
- Global/Regional Efficiency: Maintain a strategic vision to ensure global and regional IT solutions are efficient and scalable.
- Solution Adaptation: Adapt technological solutions to meet the specific needs of different operational areas within the resort.
- Platform Project Execution: Collaborate on and execute technical projects within corporate IT platforms.
- Service Continuity & Compliance: Guarantee the continuity of infrastructure services while ensuring strict adherence to global corporate standards.
- Cybersecurity Collaboration: Work closely with the Cybersecurity department to ensure the correct implementation of security controls.
- Data Services Management: Manage data services, including local Internet connectivity and the Iberostar WAN (Wide Area Network).
- Resource & Vendor Management: Oversee internal IT staff, as well as external providers and outsourced technical services.
- Special Authorizations: Evaluate and authorize non-standard programs or special technical services requested by specific hotels.
- Stakeholder Advisory: Act as a key advisor to Operations Directors and Hotel Managers on all IT-related matters.
- User Needs Analysis: Identify, formalize, and document user requirements across the organization.
- User Support Management: Supervise and optimize the IT support delivery for all end-users.
🔎 Who is the ideal person for this job?
- Education: University degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Project Management: Proven experience and knowledge in IT project management.
- Agile Methodologies: Solid understanding of Agile frameworks.
- ITIL: Practical knowledge of ITIL best practices for service management.
- Cloud & On-Premise: experience managing both on-premise and cloud-based systems (Azure preferred).
- Technical Stack: Good knowledge of Linux and Windows Operating Systems, Databases, and Network Communications.
- Sector Experience: Previous experience in the Hospitality/Hotel industry would be highly valued.
- Communication: Ability to communicate effectively with both technical teams and functional/business stakeholders.
- Soft Skills: Innovative, proactive, and autonomous in problem-solving and task execution.
- Continuous Learning: Capacity to quickly learn new technologies and analytical techniques.
- Customer Service: A strong service-oriented mindset.
- Adaptability: High level of reasoning, comprehension, and the ability to adapt to changes and improvements.
- Languages: Conversational English (Professional working proficiency).
- Teamwork & Negotiation: Strong collaborative skills and the ability to negotiate with vendors and stakeholders.
