Position Title: Maintenance Engineer Duty station: Mtwara region

Key Duties and Responsibilities

The Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following duties:

 Planning, scheduling, and supervising routine maintenance of site equipment and systems in accordance with manufacturers’ recommendations, industry best practices, and client standards.

Equipment includes power generators, HVAC systems, air compressors, plumbing systems, and related installations.

 Scheduling and supervising maintenance and repair works for buildings and other civil works as required.

Prioritizing and performing emergency repairs and maintenance in coordination with client representatives.

Providing technical advice to both the company and clients to ensure professional site management and maintenance.

Supervising staff to ensure compliance with company and client Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies.

Leading a team of technicians and logistics support staff in line with agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

Acting as the company’s primary point of contact for all site-related technical matters.

Conducting site HSE inductions for staff, subcontractors, consultants, and visitors.

Preparing and submitting daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance reports as required.

Developing technical proposals, drawings, and recommendations for repair and maintenance activities.

Qualifications and Experience

 Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma (FTC) in Civil or Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Minimum of one (1) year of relevant working experience in a reputable organisation. Proficiency in engineering software like AutoCAD and Microsoft Office is a must. Willingness to work and be stationed up-country. Fluent in English. Registration with the Engineers Registration Board (ERB) will be an added advantage. Previous experience working in a multicultural environment will be an added advantage.
