Planning Manager
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement long-term maintenance plans aligned with organizational goals and equipment reliability objectives.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of maintenance planners while fostering a culture of safety and efficiency.
- Read, interpret, and translate technical equipment manuals into effective asset management processes.
- Coordinate inspection, lubrication, preventive maintenance, and maintenance planning activities.
- Liaise with operations, engineering, and other departments to schedule maintenance activities while minimizing production disruptions.
- Analyze maintenance data, equipment history, and KPIs to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
- Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) on recurring equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
- Manage and optimize the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for maintenance planning, scheduling, reporting, and performance improvement.
- Monitor maintenance effectiveness and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor of Science Degree in:
- Mechanical Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
- Electronics Engineering
- Minimum five (5) years of experience in:
- Cement manufacturing industry, or
- Extractive industries.
Technical & Behavioral Competencies
- Proven leadership and team management experience of at least five years.
- Strong project management knowledge.
- Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and motor control systems.
- Knowledge of gearboxes, transmissions, welding technology, lubrication, and non-destructive testing techniques.
- Good understanding of Quality Management Systems including ISO 9001:2015.
- Budgeting, cost analysis, and cost tracking skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
