The Public Service Recruitment Secretariat (PSRS) has issued an official interview call covering candidates who applied for positions across numerous ministries, universities, authorities, hospitals, agencies and other public institutions in Tanzania.

Candidates should carefully follow the official PSRS instructions.
The notice requires candidates to carry an acceptable identification document and their original certificates, including relevant academic qualifications. Testimonials, provisional results, statements of results and Form IV/Form VI result slips are specifically stated as unacceptable for proceeding with the interview. Candidates in professions requiring registration must also bring original professional registration certificates and practising licences.
Candidates are also responsible for their own food, transport and accommodation and are instructed to attend in appropriate, presentable clothing.
Those whose qualifications were obtained outside Tanzania should ensure the certificates have been verified by the appropriate authority, such as TCU, NACTVET or NECTA, where applicable.
Every shortlisted candidate should log into their Ajira Portal account and copy their interview number.
For online screening interviews, candidates should remember the email address and password they use for Ajira Portal. Candidates who do not find their names in the announcement are advised to check their Ajira Portal accounts for the reason they were not shortlisted. file_6ac3e9c21e0bf
The interview schedules in the notice show that a number of screening interviews beginning on 17 October 2026 at 07:00 will be conducted online, with candidates being informed of their interview centre through Ajira Portal and the PSRS website.
The announcement covers candidates associated with many public institutions, including Mzumbe University, BASATA, MNUAT, VETA, FETA, UDOM, UDSM, Tanzania Posts Corporation, PPRA, FCC, Ardhi University, Muhimbili National Hospital, DIT, the National Irrigation Commission, ministries, MDAs & LGAs and others.
The schedule spans a very broad range of professions. Early entries alone include engineering, ICT, arts, records management, land, academic, procurement, accounting and other cadres. For example, the schedule lists ICT Officer Grade II – Developer, Mechanical Technician II, Environmental Engineer II, Land Surveyor II and Engineer II (Civil), among others.
Candidates should therefore use the official document and their Ajira Portal account to confirm the exact date, time, interview method/location and cadre applicable to them.
