Role overview
Mkwawa Leaf Tobacco Limited invites applications for 10 Agriculture Labour Practice Technicians (ALP Technicians) in Urambo and Chunya, Tanzania. The role reports to the ALP Supervisor.
Key responsibilities
- Train farmers and stakeholders on Agriculture Labour Practices and monitor assigned farms.
- Collect farm data, record issues and follow up prompt actions, remediation and incidents through CroMIS with sector ALP supervisors.
- Prepare monthly reports by the 25th and weekly regional reports.
- Train field technicians on social activities, account for ALP materials and inputs, and help plan social programmes.
- Liaise with stakeholders, comply with standard operating procedures and support GAP technicians with advice and follow-up.
Qualifications and experience
- At least a diploma in Human Resources, Social Community, Public Administration, Sociology, Law, Statistics or a related field.
- Experience in community work, social programmes, planning, extension services or outreach.
- Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel skills; training experience is an advantage.
- Good communication, integrity, teamwork and a proactive approach.
- A valid motorcycle driving licence and riding competence.
- Willingness to travel to project sites and work in remote areas.
