Kempinski is recruiting an experienced Area General Manager to lead three newly developed luxury safari lodges across Tanzania's Northern Circuit.
The position offers responsibility for pre-opening operations, luxury guest experiences, commercial performance and remote-property management.

The successful candidate will provide strategic, operational and commercial leadership across all three properties.
Key Responsibilities

Lead pre-opening commissioning and operational readiness across the three lodges.

Manage multi-property operations through on-site Hotel Managers.

Ensure exceptional luxury hospitality standards and guest experiences.

Oversee off-grid infrastructure, including solar power, battery storage, water treatment and engineering systems.

Manage remote logistics, procurement, inventory and safari vehicle operations.

Drive revenue growth, profitability, RevPAR, GOP and cost efficiency.

Coordinate with TANAPA, government authorities and local communities.

Ensure compliance with environmental, wildlife and tourism regulations.

Lead regional recruitment, staff development and management training.

Strengthen safety, emergency preparedness and operational resilience.
Qualifications & Experience

Minimum 8+ years of senior leadership experience as an Area General Manager, Cluster GM or General Manager.

Proven experience managing luxury safari lodges, bush camps or remote multi-property resorts.

Previous pre-opening or rebranding experience in remote African destinations is required.

Experience operating within national park and wildlife conservancy regulatory frameworks.

Strong financial, commercial and operational leadership capabilities.

Experience managing high-inventory remote operations alongside boutique properties.
