Business Development Manager – East Africa

About the Role
S3 Education Consultants Limited is seeking an experienced and results-driven Business Development Manager (BDM) to lead business development initiatives across East Africa.
The successful candidate will be responsible for driving student enrolments, developing strategic partnerships, and expanding opportunities for our partner's medicine programme in the Caribbean. This role requires a strong understanding of business development, relationship management, sales, and the education sector, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across the region.
Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement business development strategies to increase student enrolments across East Africa.

Identify and develop new business opportunities and strategic partnerships.

Build and maintain strong relationships with education partners, institutions, agents, and other key stakeholders.

Drive student recruitment and conversion through effective sales and partnership strategies.

Represent the organisation at education fairs, events, meetings, and other relevant platforms.

Monitor market trends and identify opportunities for growth within the East African market.

Work closely with internal teams to support the student recruitment and enrolment process.

Maintain accurate records and provide regular reports on business development activities, leads, partnerships, and results.

Achieve agreed business development and enrolment targets.
Requirements

5–7 years of relevant experience in business development, sales, student recruitment, education consultancy, or a related field.

Proven track record of achieving business development or sales targets.

Strong relationship-building, negotiation, and communication skills.

Experience developing strategic partnerships and managing key accounts.

Good understanding of the East African education and student recruitment market.

Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a wider team.

Strong networking and presentation skills.

Willingness to travel within East Africa when required.
