An exciting career opportunity is available for an experienced, professional and service-oriented Butler / Property Supervisor to manage the day-to-day operations of a luxury private residence in Zanzibar.
The successful candidate will oversee property operations, supervise a team of three staff members and ensure guests receive exceptional, personalised service throughout their stay.
The position requires an individual with strong hospitality service standards, leadership capabilities, excellent communication skills and the ability to maintain guest privacy and confidentiality.
Previous experience in luxury hospitality, private villas, high-end hotels or private residence management is preferred.
Key Responsibilities
1. Property Operations Management

Manage daily property operations and ensure activities run smoothly.

Maintain a clean, organised and well-presented property.

Ensure the residence is fully prepared to welcome guests.

Monitor property conditions and report maintenance or operational concerns to management.
2. Staff Supervision and Coordination

Supervise, coordinate and guide a team of three staff members.

Organise and monitor daily staff duties.

Ensure assigned responsibilities are completed to the required standards.

Monitor staff performance and maintain high service standards.
3. Luxury Guest Services

Welcome guests and assist with check-in and check-out.

Attend to guest requests promptly, discreetly and professionally.

Provide attentive and personalised guest assistance.

Handle guest concerns professionally.

Maintain guest privacy and confidentiality.

Ensure excellent guest satisfaction throughout each stay.
4. Housekeeping and Maintenance Coordination

Ensure property cleanliness and maintenance standards are maintained.

Arrange maintenance services when required.

Report property-related issues to management.
5. Food, Beverage and Guest Experience

Coordinate food and beverage services.

Required Qualifications and Experience
Hospitality Experience
-
Previous experience as a Butler or in a supervisory position within a luxury hotel, villa or private residence is preferred.

Experience supervising employees and managing daily property operations.

Ability to maintain excellent hospitality and guest service standards.
Educational Qualifications
A Certificate or Diploma in Hospitality Management or a related field is an advantage.
Communication Skills

Good spoken and written English.
