Job Description

An Agribusiness Company is recruiting qualified and motivated professionals to join its growing team and contribute to the future of agriculture in Tanzania.

Under the theme “Growing a Better Tomorrow,” the company is offering three career opportunities across agricultural operations, financial planning and costing, and information and communication technology (ICT).

These positions are suitable for professionals interested in supporting agricultural productivity, operational efficiency, financial management and technology-driven business improvement.

Available Positions

1. Operations Manager (1 Position)

Department: Agricultural Operations

Role Overview

Lead farm operations and drive agricultural productivity through effective planning, supervision and operational management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage field activities, planting, cultivation and harvesting schedules.

  • Supervise and train farm staff and labour teams.

  • Oversee machinery, inputs and supplies, including fertilisers and fuel.

  • Plan and control operational budgets.

  • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, labour laws and safety standards.

  • Maintain quality assurance and food safety standards, including TMA, HACCP and other applicable requirements.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Business Management or a related field.

  • At least 10 years of working experience, preferably 3–5 years in tobacco and farm management or agricultural operations.

  • Strong leadership, problem-solving and communication skills.

2. Costing & Planning Officer (1 Position)

Department: Finance, Costing & Planning

Role Overview

Support the organisation's financial management by translating operational plans into accurate budgets, cost forecasts and performance reports.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare annual operational and project budgets.

  • Forecast future expenses and revenue trends.

  • Monitor actual spending against planned figures.

  • Track direct and indirect costs and identify variances.

  • Recommend and implement cost-efficiency measures.

  • Coordinate work plans across departments.

  • Prepare financial and progress reports for management.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or Project Management.

  • At least 4 years of experience in financial planning, cost control or accounting.

  • Advanced Excel and ERP software proficiency.

  • Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail and effective communication skills.

3. ICT & System Analyst (1 Position)

Department: Information & Communication Technology

Role Overview

Drive business innovation through effective systems analysis and ICT solutions that support operational efficiency, technology integration and organisational performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse business and operational requirements and translate them into ICT solutions.

  • Design, implement and maintain information systems to support farm and business operations.

  • Monitor system performance and recommend improvements for efficiency and reliability.

  • Manage system integration, databases and software applications.

  • Provide user support, troubleshooting, technical training and coordinate system upgrades.

  • Prepare system documentation, reports and user training materials.

  • Ensure data security, system backup, disaster recovery and compliance with ICT policies.

  • Collaborate with management and departments to identify and implement technology improvements.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering or a related field.

  • At least 3 years of experience in systems analysis, software support or ICT administration.

  • Experience with ERP systems, databases and business application support.

  • Strong knowledge of networking, cybersecurity and system integration.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365, SQL databases, ERP systems and relevant ICT tools.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication and project coordination skills.
