Key Responsibilities

The Finance Assistant will be responsible for:

• Maintaining and filing invoices, expense claims, bank slips, tax documents and accounting records.
• Tracking accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Reconciling supplier and customer accounts.
• Recording daily cash receipts and payments.
• Maintaining Tanzanian shilling and United States dollar bank registers.
• Supporting value-added tax, withholding tax and Tanzania Revenue Authority tax-return documentation.
• Preparing daily fund reports, expense summaries and ageing reports.
• Coordinating with procurement personnel, warehouse personnel, auditors and tax agents to provide required financial information.
• Assisting with payroll preparation.
• Performing other duties assigned by the Finance Manager.

Qualifications and Experience
