An experienced Finance Controller is required to lead financial control, accounting, budgeting, reporting, cash-flow management and commercial-finance activities for a Real Estate / Construction / EPC business in Central Africa.

The position requires a senior finance professional with 12–20+ years of progressive experience and strong exposure to project-based accounting, construction finance, project costing, profitability, working capital and statutory compliance.

The successful candidate will work closely with senior management and project teams to strengthen financial governance and support commercial decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

The Finance Controller will:

• Lead complete Finance & Accounts operations across projects and business units.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and MIS.
• Lead project costing, budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
• Monitor project revenue, WIP, margins, receivables and cash flow.
• Establish strong controls over CAPEX, procurement, subcontractors and project expenses.
• Manage Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), General Ledger (GL), taxation, payroll and treasury.
• Monitor project-wise profitability and cost-to-complete.
• Ensure statutory, tax, audit and regulatory compliance.
• Strengthen internal controls and financial governance.
• Partner with Project, Commercial, Procurement and Operations teams.
• Present financial performance and business insights to the CFO, MD and Management.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Candidates should possess one or more relevant professional/academic qualifications such as:

• CA
• CPA
• ACCA
• CMA
• MBA Finance
• Equivalent relevant qualification

Experience Requirements

• 12–20+ years of progressive finance experience.
• Strong experience in Real Estate, Construction, EPC, Infrastructure or other project-based businesses.
• Strong understanding of IFRS.
• Strong project-accounting knowledge.
• Experience in project costing and financial controls.
• Experience using ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics or similar.

Added Advantage

Previous professional experience in Africa or Central Africa will be an advantage.
