Fleet Controller

Scope of the Role

The Fleet Controller will be responsible for:

• Daily fleet planning.
• Dispatch and delivery monitoring.
• GPS tracking.
• Driver coordination.
• Fuel control.
• Maintenance and breakdown response.
• Statutory documentation.
• Digital fleet records.
• Performance reporting.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The successful candidate will:

• Plan, dispatch and monitor daily truck movements and deliveries.
• Track vehicles in real time using GPS and digital fleet-management systems.
• Coordinate drivers, vehicle allocation and trip schedules.
• Monitor fleet utilization, turnaround times, delays and vehicle downtime.
• Control and reconcile fuel consumption against mileage and completed trips.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance, servicing and breakdown response.
• Ensure vehicle, driver and statutory documentation requirements are met.
• Monitor driver performance, route compliance, speeding, unauthorized stops and vehicle misuse.
• Maintain accurate digital records covering trips, fuel, maintenance and incidents.
• Prepare daily and weekly fleet-performance reports and dashboards.
• Drive digital transformation through automation, real-time data, digital workflows and fleet analytics.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Candidates should have relevant expertise in:

• Transport and Logistics.
• Fleet Management.
• Information Technology.
• Automotive or Mechanical Engineering.
• Supply Chain Management.
• Or a related field.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in fleet control or transport operations.
• Strong knowledge of GPS tracking, fleet-management systems and digital reporting tools.
