The position requires a senior mining and mineral-processing professional capable of managing gold processing, metallurgical recovery, diamond recovery and separation, plant performance, production efficiency, cost control, safety and processing teams.

1. Gold & Diamond Processing Manager
Key Responsibilities
- Manage gold and diamond processing operations to achieve production, recovery, quality and cost targets.
- Oversee gold-processing activities including crushing, milling, gravity concentration, CIL/CIP, elution and smelting.
- Supervise diamond recovery, separation, sorting and grading activities.
- Ensure secure handling procedures for gold and diamonds.
- Develop and implement processing procedures.
- Develop production plans and quality-control systems.
- Monitor processing-plant performance.
- Monitor metallurgical recoveries and production losses.
- Analyse operating costs and overall plant efficiency.
- Lead, train and supervise processing-plant personnel.
- Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety requirements.
- Ensure environmental and mining regulatory compliance.
- Maintain strict security and chain-of-custody procedures.
- Maintain accurate gold and diamond production records.
- Coordinate plant maintenance activities.
- Coordinate laboratory testing.
- Manage inventories and procurement of processing materials.
- Prepare operational, technical and production reports for senior management.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Candidates should have:
- Bachelor's Degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Mineral Processing, Mining Engineering, Chemical Engineering or a related discipline.
- At least 10 years of relevant mineral-processing experience.
- Management or supervisory experience within mineral-processing operations.
- Strong practical experience in gold-processing plants and gold-recovery systems.
- Knowledge of diamond recovery, separation, sorting or grading operations.
- Demonstrated ability to improve plant recovery and throughput.
- Demonstrated ability to improve operational efficiency and cost performance.
- Strong leadership capabilities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong technical and operational reporting capabilities.
Experience working in Africa or other international mining environments will be an advantage.
