Job Description

CRDB Bank PLC is recruiting an ICT Specialist – Subsidiary Support to join its Information Communication & Technology Department at the Tanzania Head Office.

Reporting to the Senior Manager ICT Strategy & Reporting, the successful candidate will provide technical support across the IT portfolios of CRDB Bank subsidiaries while working with ICT teams and business stakeholders to meet operational and strategic requirements.

The position covers enterprise applications, IT infrastructure, information security, systems administration, vendor and SLA management, production-system support, incident management and banking technology solutions.

The role will also work across Development, Finance, IT, Operations and other CRDB Bank functions to analyse business requirements, design and validate solutions, support implementation and continuously monitor their effectiveness.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The ICT Specialist – Subsidiary Support will:

  • Participate in the selection and implementation of new systems.
  • Identify opportunities for application portfolio consolidation and optimization.
  • Perform quality control and assurance to support timely delivery.
  • Work with business stakeholders to understand objectives and initiatives.
  • Manage intake, acceptance criteria and prioritization of stakeholder requests.
  • Work with the Information Security team to ensure applications, hardware and operating systems meet security and privacy requirements.
  • Support compliance with standards including ISO 27001.
  • Work with IT Infrastructure and Operations teams to ensure infrastructure, access and application performance are adequate and monitored across subsidiaries.
  • Support relevant application architecture.
  • Identify and understand integration risks.
  • Support application-portfolio consolidation across subsidiaries.
  • Understand data assets across the organization and subsidiaries.
  • Support knowledge-management processes.
  • Manage software and system licensing proactively.
  • Support vendor licensing compliance.
  • Monitor and support subsidiaries' production systems.
  • Coordinate system modifications and maintenance.
  • Manage business relationships around application services.
  • Monitor application performance.
  • Support delivery of new and existing application services.
  • Ensure required IT systems, processes and methodologies are followed.
  • Track and support issues logged through IT Service Management tools.
  • Support issues reported through email, social media and subsidiaries.
  • Attend subsidiary review meetings covering performance, service improvement, quality and processes.
  • Respond to audit and external-regulator issues within agreed timelines.
  • Support resolution of security and compliance gaps.
  • Resolve identified ICT issues and escalate material concerns where appropriate.
  • Manage incidents and problems escalated to vendors.
  • Follow up with vendors on solutions and updates.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Candidates should have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Information Technology management, systems administration or a related technology environment.
  • At least one professional qualification in an IT Service Management (ITSM) related area.

Relevant Professional Certifications

The vacancy specifically gives examples including:

  • ITIL

Candidates should also have experience working with different IT sections and technical teams and possess technical knowledge of different banking solutions.


BANKING TECHNOLOGY EXPERIENCE
