An opportunity is available for an experienced Inventory Officer in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, monitoring stock movements, reconciling physical stock with system balances, and supporting effective inventory management procedures.
This position is suitable for professionals with practical experience in stock control, inventory systems, stores management and warehouse operations.
Key Responsibilities

Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records in the stock management system.

Monitor physical inventory and reconcile quantities against recorded system balances.

Record and verify all stock receipts, issues, transfers and returns.

Conduct regular physical stock counts and investigate discrepancies.

Identify inventory shortages, excess stock, damaged items and missing stock.

Prepare inventory reports and provide documentation for stock audits.

Ensure compliance with established inventory control procedures.

Coordinate with warehouse, procurement, finance and operations teams to maintain accurate stock information.
Qualifications and Experience
Applicants should possess:

A Diploma or higher qualification in Inventory Management, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Stores Management or a related discipline.

At least 2–3 years of relevant inventory management experience.

Practical experience in both physical stock management and inventory management systems.
