Head of Logistics & International Trade

Key Responsibilities

• Manage international logistics, import, export and international trade operations.
• Manage international shipments end-to-end, from origin through customs and transit procedures to final delivery.
• Coordinate road, sea and air freight and multimodal transportation.
• Manage freight forwarders, shipping lines, customs brokers and international transport companies.
• Oversee customs clearance and transit procedures.
• Manage international trade and shipping documentation.
• Support banking processes related to international trade and cross-border payments.
• Monitor and optimize transit times, logistics costs and operational risks.
• Anticipate potential logistics and trade risks and take timely preventive action.

Qualifications & Experience

• University degree.
• Minimum 10 years of comprehensive experience in international logistics, import, export and international trade operations.
• Strong customs clearance and transit experience.
• Extensive road, sea and air freight experience.
• Advanced knowledge of Incoterms, shipping documents and international trade documentation.
• Experience managing international logistics providers and customs stakeholders.
• Knowledge of banking processes associated with international trade and cross-border payments.
• Large-scale international construction project experience is preferred.
• Experience handling trade and logistics involving the Middle East, Africa and Far East markets is preferred.
