Job Description
Key Responsibilities
•Coordinate planning, implementation, and management of economic empowerment project activities
•Collaborate with urban program teams to deliver activities aligned with approved work plans, budgets, and targets
•Support preparation of annual and quarterly project reports, focusing on economic empowerment components
•Develop and support annual work plans for economic empowerment interventions
•Act as focal point for donor compliance, ensuring partners and staff adhere to donor requirements
•Coordinate and maintain effective working relationships with partners, government institutions, and stakeholders
•Support stakeholder engagement, meetings, trainings, and project-related events at district and regional levels
•Assist the Project Manager in managing changes to project scope, schedule, and costs
Technical Focus Areas
•Gender‑responsive economic empowerment programming
•Financial inclusion, marketing, and livelihoods programming
•Youth and adolescent employability and entrepreneurship support
•Market assessments and community action plan follow‑up
•Capacity building for project staff, partners, and community-based organizations
Required Experience
•Minimum 5 years’ experience implementing economic strengthening or donor‑funded development projects
•Proven experience in project coordination or project management roles
•Experience supervising staff and working with multidisciplinary teams
•Demonstrated experience in partner capacity building and technical assistance
•Experience working with adolescents and youth on economic empowerment initiatives
•Strong analytical, problem‑solving, coordination, and reporting skills
•Proficiency in MS Excel and project reporting tools
Required Education & Training
•Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Social Work, or a related field
•Training in financial inclusion, marketing, business development, or employability skills
Preferred Skills
•Strong communication and presentation skills
•Excellent planning, documentation, and report‑writing ability
•Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
•Experience working with government institutions and multiple partners
•Ability to work under tight deadlines in a multicultural environment
