Neelkanth Chemicals Ltd is hiring four Regional Sales Agronomists to support the launch, distribution and field adoption of its agricultural products in Tanzania. The available positions are based across Ruvuma, Njombe, Iringa and Mbeya.
This opportunity is suitable for agronomy and agribusiness professionals with practical experience in agricultural input sales, farmer engagement, soil management and market development. Successful candidates will combine technical agricultural knowledge with commercial execution to expand dealer networks, support farmers and achieve regional sales targets.
The Regional Sales Agronomists will also conduct farm visits, coordinate field trials, provide soil diagnostic support and work with government institutions, agricultural extension stakeholders and local communities.

Key Responsibilities
Product Launch and Market Activation
- Execute regional product launch strategies.
- Conduct aggressive brand-awareness activities through dealers, banners and other market channels.
- Gather and report relevant market intelligence.
- Document customer success stories, including farmer testimonials and evidence of improved yields.
Distribution and Sales
- Achieve assigned monthly and annual sales targets.
- Identify, map and expand the regional dealer network.
- Recruit, onboard and train agro-dealers.
- Build market demand for Neelkanth agricultural products.
- Strengthen business relationships with dealers, farmers and relevant stakeholders.
Agricultural Trials and Technical Training
- Plan and manage field trials to evaluate soil impact.
- Organize interactive farmer field days.
- Provide soil diagnostic services using pH meters and other relevant tools.
- Educate farmers and dealers about soil acidity and appropriate product application.
- Provide practical technical guidance on East African soils and lime chemistry.
Field Visits and Extension Support
- Conduct structured farm-gate visits.
- Troubleshoot crop-health challenges.
- Support farmers growing important regional crops, including maize, beans and potatoes.
- Provide practical agricultural extension and product-application support.
- Monitor field performance and collect farmer feedback.
Government and Stakeholder Coordination
- Coordinate with local government authorities and agricultural extension stakeholders.
- Support compliance with applicable policies and permit requirements.
- Develop constructive public and institutional partnerships.
- Maintain effective working relationships with community and agricultural stakeholders.
Reporting and Administration
- Maintain accurate data relating to field trials and soil logs.
- Prepare and submit weekly work plans.
- Submit expense reports accurately and on time.
- Deliver daily and weekly sales reports.
- Maintain data integrity across sales, field and customer records.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Agribusiness, Soil Science or a related field.
- Between three and five years of experience in agricultural input sales, agricultural extension or a related area.
- Technical knowledge of East African soils and lime chemistry.
- Experience in relationship management.
- Ability to use a pH meter and other relevant field tools.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and WhatsApp.
- Ability to communicate effectively in Swahili and English.
- Willingness to reside in or relocate to one of the specified regions.
- A valid driver’s licence or motorcycle licence will be an added advantage.
