A Safety Coordinator opportunity is available in Dar es Salaam for a candidate with OSHA and NEBOSH certifications.
The position focuses on occupational health and safety compliance, workplace inspections, use of personal protective equipment, safety documentation, risk assessments and administration of relevant OSHA system records.
The successful candidate should understand workplace safety procedures and be capable of monitoring safety compliance.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Health and Safety Compliance

Monitor workplace health and safety compliance.

Ensure proper use of full personal protective equipment (PPE).

Monitor adherence to applicable OSHA policies and guidelines.
Risk Assessments and Documentation

Maintain accurate safety records.

Assist with workplace risk assessments.

Support safety reporting and documentation.
Workplace Inspections and Awareness

Conduct toolbox talks and safety awareness assessments.

Carry out site safety inspections.

Identify potential hazards in the workplace.
OSHA System Administration

Use the applicable OSHA system to update reports.

Access and print fitness-to-work certificates where authorised.

Review system notifications and relevant information.

Identify records or information requiring updates.
Qualifications and Requirements

OSHA certification.

NEBOSH certification.

Knowledge of occupational health and safety compliance.

Understanding of personal protective equipment requirements.

Ability to maintain safety records and assist with risk assessments.
