The successful candidate will support customs clearance processes through document verification, entry lodgement, cargo inspections, and compliance with customs regulations. Key Responsibilities
- Verify customs and shipping documentation for accuracy and compliance.
- Perform entry lodgement using the TANCIS system.
- Conduct physical verification of cargo at the port.
- Support customs clearance processes and regulatory compliance.
- Ensure proper HS Classification and tariff code application.
- Liaise with customs officials and relevant stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Assist in resolving discrepancies and customs-related issues.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience using TANCIS within a licensed CFA.
- Experience in document verification and entry lodgement.
- Experience conducting physical cargo verification at ports.
- Good understanding of HS Classification and Customs Procedures.
- Fluency in English and Swahili.
- Good computer literacy skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
