Accountant Job in Dar es Salaam

Bilancia Consulting Company Ltd is recruiting an experienced Accountant on behalf of a client in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. The position requires practical proficiency in Tally ERP, accurate financial record management and a working understanding of Tanzanian taxation requirements.

The successful applicant will support financial reporting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliation, budgeting and statutory compliance. This role is suitable for a detail-oriented accounting professional who can maintain dependable records and contribute to sound financial management.

Candidates with at least two years of relevant experience and strong knowledge of VAT, PAYE, withholding tax and Tanzania Revenue Authority systems are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records using Tally ERP.
• Prepare financial statements and management reports.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Reconcile bank statements and investigate discrepancies.
• Support budgeting and financial planning activities.
• Maintain orderly accounting documentation and supporting records.
• Assist with statutory and tax compliance requirements.
• Support compliance relating to VAT, PAYE and withholding tax.
• Provide accurate financial information for management review.
• Maintain confidentiality and accuracy when handling financial data.

Qualifications and Experience

• Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• At least two years of experience in an accounting or finance role.
• Demonstrated proficiency in Tally ERP.
• Good working knowledge of VAT, PAYE, withholding tax and Tanzania Revenue Authority systems.
• Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable and bank reconciliations.
• Understanding of budgeting and financial reporting.
