Application & Database Support Specialist
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze user requirements and configure business applications.
- Troubleshoot application-related issues and provide timely resolution.
- Ensure availability of applications and interfaces across banking platforms.
- Deliver user support and application training where required.
- Participate in business continuity planning and disaster recovery testing.
- Provide technical support for core banking systems and alternate banking channels.
- Support systems integration, data extraction, and reporting activities.
- Manage application changes, deployments, and release activities.
- Administer application servers and database environments.
- Perform database backups, restorations, and recovery procedures.
- Collaborate with internal departments and external vendors to resolve technical issues.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, ICT, or a related field.
- Professional certifications such as Oracle, Microsoft, or Sybrin are an added advantage.
- Minimum of 5 years' relevant experience in a banking environment.
- Strong experience supporting Core Banking Systems such as Oracle Flexcube, Finacle, or similar platforms.
- Strong SQL and database administration experience in Oracle and/or Microsoft SQL Server environments.
- Experience integrating banking and payment systems such as Sybrin, TACH, SWIFT, and related platforms.
- Proven experience supporting enterprise applications across multiple environments.
