DATA QUALITY ASSESSMENT CONSULTANCY

About the assignment
Save the Children Tanzania invites qualified individual consultants and consulting firms to assess the quality of data for the EU-funded Vijana Plus Project (2025–2028), implemented with Tanzania Bora Initiative.
The assessment will support credible reporting and evidence-based decisions by identifying data-quality weaknesses and practical improvements.
Assessment focus
- Assess the accuracy, reliability, completeness and quality of project data.
- Identify weaknesses in existing data management systems.
- Recommend improvements to data quality, reporting and decision-making.
Required qualifications
- Master’s degree in Monitoring and Evaluation, Statistics, Development Studies, Social Sciences, Economics or a related discipline.
- At least five years conducting data quality assessments, evaluations, audits or performance monitoring assignments.
- Expertise in MEAL systems, data verification, analysis and reporting.
- Strong analytical, report-writing and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Donor-funded programme experience, especially EU-funded projects, is an added advantage.
Proposal and safeguarding requirements
Prepare separate technical and financial proposals in accordance with the full Terms of Reference. Applicants must demonstrate adherence to Save the Children’s safeguarding and Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse policies.
