EarthLungs is recruiting a Forest Data Analyst in Zanzibar, Tanzania.

The position is suited to a professional who combines data analysis skills with knowledge of forestry, environmental monitoring, geographic information systems (GIS) and remote sensing.

Key Requirements

• 2–3 years of relevant professional experience in data analysis, forestry, environmental monitoring, GIS or remote sensing.

• Proficiency in analytical or statistical tools such as Python, R or SQL.

• Practical experience with GIS platforms, particularly QGIS or ArcGIS.

• Experience using remote sensing platforms such as Google Earth Engine and analysing satellite imagery.

• Knowledge of forest ecology, forest inventories, biodiversity conservation or land-use science.

• Strong quantitative, analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in one of the following or a related discipline:

• Forestry

• Natural Resource Management

Additional Advantages
