About the Role
Fabec Investment Limited is recruiting a Chief Technical Officer to lead the technical direction and delivery of company projects across its civil engineering, mining, telecommunications and energy divisions. The successful candidate will oversee engineering quality, safety, cost control and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish company-wide technical strategies, standards and best practices.
- Oversee engineering design reviews, construction methodologies and quality assurance.
- Lead technical tendering, proposals, costing and risk assessment.
- Provide technical leadership to project managers and site teams.
- Ensure HSE compliance, ISO standards and CRB regulatory requirements.
- Manage technical relationships with clients, consultants and subcontractors.
- Mentor technical staff and report project performance to the Managing Director and Board.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Electrical, Telecommunications, Mechanical or Mining Engineering.
- Master's degree or MBA is an advantage.
- ERB Professional Engineer registration is mandatory.
- Minimum 6 years' experience, including 5 years in senior technical or project leadership, as advertised.
- Proven track record of delivering large civil, mining, telecom or infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of FIDIC contracts, cost control and project scheduling.
- Excellent English and Kiswahili.
- Tanzanian citizenship and high integrity.
