ICT Supervisor

MUCOBA Bank PLC, the oldest community bank in Tanzania, is seeking a qualified and experienced ICT Supervisor to lead, secure, and optimize the Bank’s ICT and telecommunications infrastructure. The ICT Supervisor will play a critical role in ensuring system availability, security, and operational efficiency within a regulated banking environment.

Duties and Responsibilities

•Monitor, maintain, and manage all ICT and telecom equipment, tools, and services

•Oversee installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware, software, and network systems

•Supervise ICT staff, including training, mentoring, and performance management

•Coordinate with internal ICT units and external service providers for escalated support

•Implement and enhance data security measures, including firewalls, backups, access control, and encryption

•Ensure compliance with ICT regulations, cybersecurity standards, and internal policies

•Provide onsite technical support and troubleshooting to minimize system downtime

•Conduct user training and awareness on ICT systems and procedures

•Prepare ICT activity reports and maintain proper system documentation

•Manage ICT inventory, software licensing, and asset tracking

•Participate in ICT budgeting and local procurement activities

•Lead ICT projects such as system upgrades and process improvements

•Develop, test, and maintain the Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Plan

•Perform any other duties assigned by the immediate supervisor

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field

•Master’s Degree will be an added advantage

•Minimum of 3–4 years proven ICT experience in the banking sector

•Professional certifications in Microsoft Server Administration, Active Directory, CCNA/CCNP, or related fields

•Added advantage: ITIL framework knowledge and/or cybersecurity certifications (CISSP, CEH)

•Strong leadership, problem‑solving, and communication skills
