1. Operational Excellence Manager - Logistics & Shipping M/F
Key Responsibilities
- Identify operational issues and opportunities for improvement across the organisation.
- Maintain and prioritise a register of improvement initiatives and projects.
- Lead and support Operational Excellence and continuous improvement projects.
- Implement appropriate improvement methodologies and tools.
- Work with operational managers and teams to improve processes and eliminate waste.
- Provide coaching and training on problem solving, standardisation and continuous improvement.
- Monitor the progress and results of improvement initiatives.
- Support management in identifying and prioritising actions aligned with business objectives.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
- Communicate Operational Excellence initiatives and results across the organisation.
- Share best practices and improvement initiatives across AGL entities.
- Provide regular updates to management on progress, challenges and results.
Qualifications & Experience
- Grade 12 / School Certificate.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Project Management or a related field.
- 5–7 years' experience in Operations, Continuous Improvement, Operational Excellence or a related environment.
- Strong understanding of process improvement and operational efficiency.
- Experience in implementing improvement initiatives and projects.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work with and influence employees and management at different levels.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Results-oriented with a practical, hands-on approach.
- Qualifications must be ZAQA certified where applicable.
