Job Summary
Position: Purchase Officer
Location: Zanzibar, Tanzania
Industry: Luxury Hospitality (5-Star & 7-Star Hotels)
Salary: USD 2,500 – USD 3,000 per month (depending on experience)
Experience Required: Minimum 5 Years
Key Responsibilities
- Manage procurement activities for hotel and hospitality operations.
- Source and negotiate with suppliers to achieve the best value.
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships.
- Ensure timely availability of required goods and services.
- Maintain procurement records and supplier performance metrics.
- Support inventory management and purchasing controls.
- Work closely with finance, operations, and hospitality management teams.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of hospitality procurement experience.
- Experience working in 5-star luxury hotels or resort environments preferred.
- Strong vendor negotiation and contract management skills.
- Proven experience managing supplier relationships.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
