Underground Mining Engineer in Matongo Gold Mine, Tanzania

Matongo Underground Gold Mine is recruiting an experienced Underground Mining Engineer to support safe, efficient and cost-effective underground gold production.

The successful candidate will work with engineering, geology, survey and safety teams to deliver mining plans, improve productivity and maintain operational safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly underground mining plans.

• Supervise underground development, production, drilling and blasting operations.

• Monitor production targets, equipment utilisation and mining costs.

• Oversee ground support, ventilation, dewatering and mine safety.

• Support production optimisation and prepare technical reports.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Mining Engineering or equivalent.

• Minimum 2 years' underground mining experience.

• Practical hard-rock mining experience, preferably gold mining.

• Registered or eligible for registration with Tanzania's Engineers Registration Board (ERB).

• Knowledge of underground mining safety and production operations.

• Experience with Surpac, Deswik SAD or AutoCAD is an advantage.
