Matongo Gold Mines Limited invites qualified Tanzanian applicants for four engineering and maintenance positions supporting its mining operations in Tanzania.
Mechanical Supervisor (1 position)
Reports to the Mechanical Foreman in Engineering/Maintenance. Supervise inspections, repairs and preventive and corrective maintenance; allocate work to mechanics, diagnose faults, maintain mining plant, pumps and compressors, manage tools and spares, keep records and mentor staff.
- Diploma, FTC, Fitter Grade III or a relevant mechanical trade qualification.
- At least five years of mechanical maintenance experience, including at least one year in supervision.
- Mining or heavy industry experience is an advantage.
Mining Drilling Equipment Mechanic (1 position)
Reports to the Maintenance Engineer. Inspect, service and repair drilling equipment; diagnose pneumatic and hydraulic faults involving cylinders, hoses, valves and pumps; replace parts, test repairs, respond to breakdowns and complete job cards. Follow manuals, safety procedures and lockout/tagout requirements.
- CSEE and a relevant technical certificate in mechanical, plant, automotive or heavy equipment maintenance.
- Practical pneumatic and hydraulic maintenance skills.
- Mining or heavy machinery experience is an advantage.
Electrical Attendant (2 positions)
Reports to the Electrical Supervisor. Assist with inspections, preventive maintenance and installations involving motors, lighting, panels and cabling under authorised electrical staff. Keep records and follow permit, lockout/tagout and safety procedures. Work only within your competence and authorisation.
- CSEE plus a Technician Certificate, VETA Grade II or III, IMTT qualification in Electrical Installation/Engineering, or a relevant qualification.
- Basic electrical maintenance, tool handling and safety skills.
- Industrial or mining experience is an advantage.
