1. Inventory Specialist

Job Purpose
The Inventory Specialist will be responsible for optimizing spare parts and consumables inventory to ensure a reliable supply of materials required for mining operations. The role focuses on inventory management, stock optimization, cost control, and service-level performance improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage inventory levels and replenishment processes.
- Monitor stock availability for critical materials.
- Conduct stock counts and inventory reconciliations.
- Investigate inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
- Manage vendor-managed inventory reconciliations.
- Support materials requirements planning activities.
- Maintain inventory master data and stock classifications.
- Prepare inventory reports and performance analyses.
- Coordinate with operational departments to support production requirements.
- Supervise inventory personnel and ensure compliance with company standards.
Qualifications and Experience
Required
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Procurement & Supplies, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum three (3) years of relevant inventory management experience.
- Strong knowledge of inventory control systems and procurement processes.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
- Strong analytical and reporting capabilities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Advantageous
- Experience in mining or construction industries.
- Knowledge of ERP and inventory management systems, including Syspro.
- Understanding of material movement and warehouse operations.
2. Safety and Emergency Response Officer

Job Purpose
The Safety and Emergency Response Officer will lead safety initiatives and emergency preparedness programs to protect personnel, assets, and operations. The role supports compliance, incident response, risk management, and safety culture development across mining operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote health and safety standards throughout the operation.
- Conduct safety inspections and risk assessments.
- Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions.
- Develop and maintain emergency management plans.
- Coordinate emergency drills and preparedness exercises.
- Ensure readiness of emergency response equipment and resources.
- Lead emergency response efforts during incidents.
- Maintain safety documentation and reporting records.
- Support continuous improvement in safety performance.
Qualifications and Experience
Required
- Secondary Education (Form IV/VI).
- Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment.
- Certificate III in Mine Rescue.
- NOSCH 1 and NOSCH 2 certifications.
- Level 3 First Aid and CPR certification.
- Fire Safety and Emergency Response qualifications.
- Minimum three (3) years of relevant experience.
- Good communication skills in both English and Swahili.
- Valid driver's license.
- Physical fitness and ability to respond effectively during emergencies.
Preferred
- Experience within mining operations.
- Strong leadership and incident management skills.
- Knowledge of emergency management systems and risk assessment methodologies.
