Job Overview
Vodafone Tanzania is seeking a skilled M‑Pesa Core Operations Support Officer to manage end‑to‑end operational support for the M‑Pesa core system and its associated digital channels. The role focuses on system monitoring, incident management, stakeholder coordination, and ensuring a seamless mobile money experience for customers.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage and support M‑Pesa Core systems end to end
- Monitor performance and availability of the M‑Pesa mobile application on Android and iOS
- Investigate, respond to, and resolve user‑reported issues, bugs, and system crashes
- Track application analytics and crash reports using tools such as Firebase or similar platforms
- Execute incident, problem, and change management processes with internal teams and external partners (MPA)
- Ensure system security and compliance standards are maintained
- Support Business Continuity Management activities
- Support Mini App development, implementation, and operational support
- Provide technical support for M‑Pesa products and related projects (local and MPA)
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
- Strong knowledge of Unix, Linux (RHEL, SUSE), and Windows operating systems
- Experience with Relational Database Management Systems (Oracle, GaussDB, MySQL)
- Understanding of mobile security best practices
- Familiarity with Android and iOS platforms, mobile application architecture, and APIs
- Understanding of mobile money platforms, especially M‑Pesa, is highly desirable
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with multiple stakeholders
- Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships
